ARTIST STATEMENT Amy Lynne Pobanz is a visual artist, painter, and arts educator. Through both studio and plein air practice, she explores how observation, place, and lived experience translate into visual expression—drawing deep inspiration from Michigan’s Great Lakes, inland waters, and surrounding environments. Painting functions as both an investigative and reflective process. She engages nature not only as subject matter, but as a space for presence, curiosity, and connection. Her work incorporates layered paint, transparency, texture, and mixed media experimentation with light, movement, and surface. Amy Lynne is also a teaching artist with over 25 years of experience working with learners from kindergarten through adult in painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, and foundational visual arts skills. She serves as Director of Regional Arts Networks for MI Creative Potential. |
